Tea Story 10-01-2014

Just now after work, we decide to have dinner outside before go home. as usually we ask each other what to eat? what do you want to eat? My bf said how about ayam sambal ijo podomoro. then i said we just have spicy lunchbox for lunch today ( i made kungpao chicken and stir fried green beans she zhuan style) , hmmm.. i want have some noodle / ramen, how about go to tea story for their chicken noodle or bento tei for their chicken chasu ramen. my bf rejected bento tei ( we have been there too often - will review them in this blog someday). so after this long discussion we decide to eat at tea story cafe.

We have been go to tea story several times, could not count how many times we went there already. You can view there for my review about tea story.

For today as i said above, i want to eat something with hot soup. so i choose their new menu taiwanese chicken noodle soup small portion (IDR 35.000), they have big portion also ( price: idr 39.000 )

Their chicken noodle soup is serve with thin rice noodle (kue tiaw), some slices carrot,bok choy, tofu puff, braised egg and chicken with chicken soup as base. I like their soup, look light, not too thick but still tasty and savory. you cant stop too slurp slurppp ( for not to salty soup is the best, i can have a big bowl ) Beside the soup, chickens meat just so soft and juicy. overall i like it very much.

My bf order chicken cutlets (about IDR 35.000) with rice, oryou can also change the rice with cheesy french fries. too bad i forgot take the pic, so i grab the picture from cafeteastroy instagram. >,<

Their chicken cutlets is really big size and serve with mushroom sauce, rice and chinese pickled cucumber. my bf like the brown sauce, also the chickens is well marinate, juicy and soft.

For drink,i just ordered mineral water and my bf ordered coffee cream, he said well, will drink it again next time.. IDR 15.000

Grand Duck Resto ( Nagoya Hill )

As usual, every new years we go out for dinner.try some new resto/menu that we never eat before. for this year (today) actually we planned to dinning at panties pizza, want to try some new style of pizza at our town, But there are too crowd and already no table available so we search for another place for dinning that not too crowd because we both are on hungry mode need to fill our tummy as soon as possible. So we come to grand duck (we look from outside, not too crowd-still many table available) to have some Chinese food.

Although we see they are not very crowd, we still have to wait quite a long time for all our food to be served and they served it one by one with quite a long distance per menu (10 minutes maybe). I don't know how they arranged their order, but its not fair if other customer that order after us got their food first and it happened to us just now. I saw that table beside us ordered (maybe 3-5 minutes ) after us but they got their two menu first before us.

We already come to this restaurant several time and quite like their food. so as today is new year we choose menu that we have not ate before. We try their popular dish duck just like their restaurant name "Grand Duck"

Mala Roasted Duck ( Recommended)

Roasted duck with chinese chili sauce, the duck is really well marinated, chewy and juicy. I like it so much. But the chili sauce ( ma la ) is a lit bit salty for me.

Another dish with chili sauce, the taste is yummy as always, but i think because the chili sauce make this dish become more oily.. so if you dont like your veggie oily, i recommended to order stir fried without chili sauce.

Crunchy outside and juicy inside from the fresh shitake mushroom. not so special but still delicious.

We also order 2 portion of hainan rice (@ IDR 9.000), the rice is so fragrant but some rice is not fully cooked, one glass of ice sweet tea (IDR 10.800) and one glass of orange juice (IDR 18.800)

Overall, we have a delicious dinner at Grand duck resto despite the quite a long time (maybe because its so crowd) wait for all our menu to be served.

For all that celebrate, 

Happy Chinese New Year

may in the year of the horse will bring us health, joy and prosperity,

In the day 5 of CNY, we go to have a dinner in happiness restaurant that served chinese food. i was craving for fried oat prawn (udang nestum), so i choose chinese resto that serve this menu. and here we choose happiness resto.. because the price is quite acceptable than other chinese resto or seafood resto..

we came at 7pm, although already dinner time, but still no so crowd. we choose the seat that near the window.. The seat here is quite spacious but the chair/sofa is too short so a lil bit not comfort. but u can choose to sit at the others table that the chair isn't sofa.

Happiness resto serve chicken, fish, prawn, tofu, vegetable in variance kind of sauce and cook style ( i mean can be steam, fried, etc) and they also have kind of dessert (pudding) , appetizer (lumpia etc).

Fried Oat Prawn ( Udang nestum)

The prawn is quite big, and fried well with the oat not oily at all. very cheesy.. Taste Good. Combine with Chili sauce taste more yummy..

Tofu with Corn Thickened Sauce

Fried Tofu that pour with corn thickened sauce. the tofu is very soft combine with the sauce. taste good..the sauce is yummy just like chicken corn soup.. like that much... much..

Buncis ayam se zhuan

Buncis being stir-fry with mince chicken. the mince chicken taste like mafo tofu.. a lil bit oily, taste well.. but i like Grand-duck resto stir-fry buncis more.. heheheh

Others menu that i recommend here are Udang Wasabi and Soup ayam jagung.

I have try this two menu, taste really good.. 

For this dinner we spend about IDR 138.000 for two person. Quite acceptable, rite? Satisfied with this dinner. the portion is much much enough for us and service was good. and the resto situation was so comfort. i am surely will come again.. already having meal at there for about 3 or 4 times..

Golden Prawn 933

I love eat.. that why the way i celebrate Christmas is with have a dinner.. although i am not a christian but i do love christmas feel. when you go around you can see a christmas tree everywhere, cafe, restaurant, supermarket, mall and others place are decorating with christmas theme and playing christmas carol. I like it very much

So, in this Christmas. we decide to have a dinner at 933 golden prawn. We want to have a seafood (especially He-Po, He po is kind of prawn like small lobster maybe) dinner. first we plan go to barelang jembatan 2 seafood. but already to late and hungryyyy so we decide just go to Golden Prawn 933 at bengkong laut because if we go to barelang may took almost 30-45minutes to arrive the resto..

The restaurant is like "kelong", when we arrive, one waiter will guide us to choose what seafood we want and the seafood still alive in the pound and fresh. we can also see the price of the menu per kilogram. They  have shell, Crab, kind of prawn, lobster, kind of fish, gong-gong, snail, squid and others (sorry i don't remember all :p)

so we choose ikan kerapu, ranjungan and cumi-cumi. not so satisfied with today seafood hunting. Because seafood we want out of stock like hepo and shell.

we arrive restaurant around 5p.m so still not so crowd, first we choose to sit near the pound so we can enjoy the outside view very well but today wind is really too strong for me. what a windy day today.. so we choose to move to another table but still the wind is strong only a lil better.

First menu that arrive is baby kaylan.. i like it so much. not so salty and the vegie is soft.. Nice

Cumi-Cumi Goreng Tepung ( Fried squid) is squid that fried with bread flour, taste good too, the squid is so chewy.

Around IDR 50.000

Ranjungan Lada Hitamm ( Crab with black pepper sauce) is crab that serve with thick black pepper sauce, the crab is really delicious, the crab meat so tasty, chewy. Really nice. But the sauce is still need some improvement. i cant taste the blackpepper well

and last, after wait for such a long time (haha.. only around 15-20mnt) ikan kerapu saus asam manis that we ordered finally be served. Haiss.. other food already cold because of the windy day. the wind is too strong and make our food cold very fast. 

Ikan Kerapu saus asam manis is fried fish that being pour by thick sour sweet sauce with pineapple and green peas. This is one is nice both the fried fish and the sauce taste good. The fish meat is so soft and lil bit crispy combine with the sauce. Really delicious

Price (25.000/kg) the fish we choose around 0.5kg (IDR 150.000)

For this christmas dinner, i only gift 3 stars from 5 stars. First, i think the waiter/waitress is not too friendly, second, our menu is not come at the same time and we should wait other menu come and it took a lil bit long and make others menu cold already.. 

We spend around IDR 250.000 - 260.000 for this dinner. Quite acceptable for two person to enjoy seafood..

Kube adalah salah satu tempat makan di daerah Nagoya Newtown yang menjual makanan khas selatpanjang.
Menu yang tersedia disana ada Hokkian Mie, Mie Sagu siram/goreng, Bihun siram/goreng, Mie goreng, Nasi goreng,Kwe tiao.. Juga tersedia berbagai jenis kerupukk..
Biasanya, kami kesini pas jam supper. pas malam hari lapar, pengennya makan yang hangat, pasti lah kesini
kalo pas weekend, rame nyaa >,< smpe gak ad tempat duduk plus banyak yang udah habis

Porsi nya besar, kalo take away bisa kongsi berdua.
rasa nya yummy, kuah nya ini enak..

Mie goreng
Porsinya besar juga yang ini. Rasanya Mirip dengan mie goreng dijalanan Pekanbaru yang saya cari kesana kemari di Batam tapi gk pernah ketemu, tapi yang ini pun baru mirip 30% aja rasanya.. hahahha
Mungkin karena mie nya ada disiram telur jadi mirip.. rasanya yummy apalagi kalo minta dibikinin lebih pedas.

Biasanya untuk sekali makan disana 2 porsi plus minuman sekitar IDR 36.000 gitu, Harga nya standar.

Kedai Kopi Ciang Hau (Mie Hotpot)

this place sell one of my favourite breakfast ever ever forever

Kedai kopi ciang hau yang lokasinya di dekat pasar mitra raya,ini menjual berbagai sarapan pagi khas kota batam a.k.a kesukaan masyarakat batam khususnya chinese

Disana terdapat stand yang menjual nasi ayam, yong tahu, bubur putih dengan lauk untuk sarapan, roti dan mie hotpot..

Mie hotpot ini makanan favorit saya..

Mie hotpot ini mie pangsit yang dilengkapi dengan 1 pot kecil sup pangsit yang dilengkapi dengan telur,bakso ikan, dll.. yang unik dan membuat nikmat mie hotpot ini adalah sup pangsit sebagai pelengkap mie pangsit ini disajikan panas (masih dipanasi oleh api, seperti nya dari abu dibawah gitu)

Jadi sup nya tetap hangat selama kita menikmati mie hotpot tersebut

untuk mie pangsit nya sendiri tersedia dalam dua pilihan mie yaitu mie pangsit kecil  biasa dan mie pok (mie pangsit tipis) saya sih lebih suka yang tipis.. heheheheh.. oh iya, harga 1 porsi mie hotpot ini IDR 22.000

Menurut saya, harga nya sesuai dengan rasa yang kita dapatkan .. puas banged makannya..

Xiao Wan Mian

Untuk suasana di kedai kopi ya ramai sekali,  terlebih di hari minggu jam 9-11 dimana merupakan jam brunch (paling suka brunch ya kalo di hari minggu :p)

Walaupun ramai, tapi tidak terasa pengap atau panas, hanya saja jarak antar meja yang mungkin agak sempit. ya tapi masih nyaman untuk kita duduk dan menikmati sarapan kita. =D

Suang Hong Nagoya Hill

Suang Hong Bah kut teh yang lokasinya di Nagoya Hill Foodstreet tidak hanya menyediakan menu bahkut teh disana. Juga tersedia berbagai menu seperti kuetiaw/mie/bihun siram-kuah-goreng, nasi goreng, ayam goreng dan lain - lain.

Hmm, Senin kemarin, setelah pulang kerja saya menyempatkan untuk makan malam dulu disana. Menu yang kami pesan adalah Kuetiaw siram dan Mie Goreng Siram. Sebelumnya saya sudah beberapa kali ya mencoba kuetiaw siram di shuanghong ini, biasanya sih take away alias bungkus. Kali ini ingin mencoba langsung makan disana.

Tempat duduk yang kami pilih di dalam ruangan, dan tersedia juga tempat duduk diluar tetapi saya kurang suka karena banyaknya pengunjung mall yang lalu lalang jadi terasa kurang nyaman.

Setelah kurang lebih 10-15 menit, datanglah menu yang kami pesan.. 

untuk kuetiaw siram, kue tiawnya yang digoreng terlebih dahulu terasa gurih dan nikmat dikombinasikan dengan kuah siramnya yang jernih, kental dan tasty bangat. sayangnya, kuah siramnya kurang panas, jadi mengurangi rasa nikmat pada kuetiaw siram ini karena saya pecinta makanan panas :p

Kue Tiaw Siram

Untuk mie goreng siramnya, Sama nikmatnya dengan kue tiaw goreng, sayangnya mie kuningnya seperti baru dikeluarkan dari kulkas dan digoreng kurang lama jadi rasanya kurang gurih, tetapi kuah siramnya yang panas kental dan jernih memberikan rasa yang lezat.

I'm very satisfied for this meal, after craving for several day and can eat this meal, feel nice :p

for the closing meal, i ate this week is at adi 8 

Adi 8 ini tempat makan yang lokasinya di perumahan baloi mas, karena lokasi nya diperumahan gitu jelas saja tempat nya tidak begitu nyaman, nyari tempat parkirnya apa lagi.. susahh >,<. Di sini sederet perumahan sekitar 5-6 rumah semua nya jadi tempat makan seperti adi 8 ini. jadi kesannya seperti jadi foodcourt atau pujasera. hahahah
menu yang mereka sediakan adalah aneka lauk (ayam dan seafood) yang diberi saus /digoreng dll, aneka  sayuran(kangkungm, babykaylan, brokoli, tomiao yang di tumis jamur, terasi atau polos).Menu nya disajikan dalam porsi kecil, medium atau besar
Jadi enaknya disini makannya ramai-ramai biar bisa nyoba banyak menu nya
tapi kemarin sih makannya cuman berdua.
Jadi cuman bisa panggil beberapa lauk aja. Menu yang kami pesan kemarin adalah ayam goreng bawang, brokoli polos, dan tipang tahu ajaa...
Sambil menunggu menu nya datang, ntar kita ada ditawarin ota - ota, tentunya bayar bukan gratis.. :p
ota-ota yang disediakaan ada dua jenis satu yang warna putih gak ada cabenya dan satu lagi yang warnanya ke orenan gitu, ini yang pakai cabe. kalo saya sih suka yang ada cabe karena lebih terasaa ota ota nya.
Disini juga terdapat beberapa gerobak yang jual makanan seperti ketoprak, sate dll..
jadi sebagai menu tambahan bole coba ketoprak dlu.. hihihi

Nah, ini dia menu utama nyaa
Top menu disini ada ayam goreng barang, rasanya gurih, ayam nya lembut dimakan dengan gorengan bawang putihnya ditambah dengan sambal terasi disini.. Rasanya mantap banged. Enakkkkk

Untuk brokoli dan tikpang tahu nya enak. very tastyy, cuman menurut saya agak asin sih.. tapi tetap gak menutupi rasa enak nya..

Overall, Untuk dinner ini puas banget ya dari segi size menu nya apalagi cuman untuk dimakan berdua.. dari segi rasa enak cuman agak asin aja (mungkin karena saya gak biasa makan asin" ya) , menu yang dipesen datangnya juga gak terlalu lama , cuman lokasi nya saja yang agak kurang nyaman.. For this dinner cost about IDR 85.000 not too pricey. still okay :)

Indo Rasa

Last saturday, as usually this is our breakfast day.. Because on the others workday we cant meet at morning
only at saturday we can meet & have breakfast together and go to work
This saturday, we choose to eat at indorasa foodstreet, because we want to eat porridge.
At this place, their have many stand that serve different food, from porridge, nasi lemak, lontong, martabak telur, chicken rice, cha shio rice, fish soup, mix vegie rice and still a lot..
Usually i come here to eat chicken rice, bakcho mie and this is my first time there to eat porridge..
I choose chicken porridge and my bf choose pitan porridge (bubur pitan)

Nahh, this is their chicken porridge, seems like bland porridge with nothing inside, but actually it is not bland, very tasty and have a lot small slices chicken meat inside. if we feel not enough salty , we can put their soyu sauce , pepper by ourselves. we know, each person taste are different.. for me, that is my first time eat porridge outside, i dont like porridge too much so rarely choose porridge become my meal. but this first try is quite yummy.. oh ya, on top they also give us some cha kue, i hope that will be more cha kue.. heheheh

my bf porridge is bubur pitan, the different with me is they replace the chicken meat with egg call pitan (black one, and when u eat feel a lil bit fresh inside ur mouth).. The taste is same.. same yummy

But their drink at there not too okay, dun know why their milk coffee is very very bitter, so i just drink a bit.. huhhh

Overall for this breakfast is good, their place is nice, not to noisy.. for the price of this meal cost about IDR 41.000 include two drink..

Tea Time at Tea Story

 Kemarin nongkrong di salah satu cafe di dekat Centre Point nih, namanya Tea Story, tepatnya di hotel formosa nih cafe nya..

Cafe nya nyaman dengan pilihan tempat duduk di sofa atau kursi biasa, quite spacious.. nyaman.. sayang nya gak ada view yang bisa menambah rasa nyaman untuk refreshing dari dalam cafe.. 

Di cafe ini tersedia berbagai jenis cake seperti cheese cake, chocolate muse, green tea, tiramisu and etc. 

Juga tersedia beberapa menu main course seperti spaghetti oglio , carbonara, nasi ayam taiwanese dll

untuk menu sampingan ada nachos, tako ball dan banyak lagii.

For beverage, they have a lot too from kind of bubble tea, coffee, cappucino, and kind of tea that healthy and have many function to your body like apple roselle tea etc..

Kemarin kami kesini karena untuk nongkrong aja, jadi gak pesen main course cuman pesen dua open cake chocolate muse dan temen saya mesen durian cheese cake (kalo gak salah namanya) dan minumnya hot apple roselle tea (teh ini mempunyai banyak kegunaan untuk kesehatan tubuh kita)

Ini dia cake nya yang kami pesan, rasa durian cheese cake nya terasa banget duriannya serasa makan durian beneran. kalo chocolate muse yang saya pesan terasa banget coklatnya - yummy sih,, (open cake nya per porsi sekitar IDR 19.000 - 22.000)

Dan yang paling ok, menurut saya adalah teh nya. bener fresh pas banget di mulut.. wangi nya juga harum.. cocok banged diminum diwaktu santai dan nongkrong dengan temen.. (1 pot gini sekitar IDR 30.000)

For all this menu, i have tried before.. i like it so much especially for the spicy nachos (very yummy) and tako balls (soft and very tastefull).. oh yah, i like their oglio spaghetti too, the taste is a lil bit spicy with chicken at the top, quite a perfect comparation. so delicious.. hihihi
